Helping animals at home, in the shelters and overseas to stay healthy

Hey, hey Fox Valley Animal Hospital community- we’re in the last stages of winter. This is a time where we like to heat things up a little with a few Fox Valley vet promotions, events and ideas.

It’s time for some Fox Valley vets promotions! So pull up a chair, grab the fur kids and let’s get into it, shall we?

RSPCA Cupcake Day

rspca cupcake dayLike homemade cakes? Love pets? Thrilled at the amazing work the RSPCA does to help animals in need? Then have we got an exciting event for you! Our vet nurses are dusting off their baking paraphernalia and diving into the recipe books to cook up a storm for RSPCA Cupcake Day!

On Tuesday August 16th, you are welcome to pop into our vet clinic on 107 Fox Valley Road Wahroonga any time between 9am and 5pm. There’s no need to have an appointment. You don’t have to be an existing patient of our clinic. In fact if you’d like to meet us during this fun experience, it’s a great time to drop by and meet the team.

We will have all kinds of yummy cupcakes, slices and cookies. Plus we’ll have gluten free and vegan options available. For every dollar we raise, Vet Alex Brittan will be matching it out of his own pocket.

Come on down and have some cake fun with the Fox Valley team and let’s raise funds to fight animal cruelty together.  Unable to attend on the day but still want to give to this worthy cause? You can make your donations direct through the Fox Valley Animal Hospital page on the RSPCA.

Supporting World Animal Protection

wap- fox valley vets promotions - giving to wildlife Speaking of fundraising, you may have noticed the big orange money box on our counter. This is a tin that welcomes loose change to help animals all around the world in need.

World Animal Protection (formerly The World Society for the Protection of Animals) is an international non-profit animal welfare organisation that has been in operation for over 30 years.

They are working tirelessly around the world, to put an end to bull fighting in France and Spain, to stop bear dancing in Greece, Turkey and India and to stop the harvesting of bile from live captive bears throughout Asia.

In order to successfully achieve their goals, as well as lobbying at government levels, they also set up rehabilitation sanctuaries where the rescued animals are cared for until they are ready to be released into an appropriate environment.

The funds raised in that loose change tin make a huge difference to World Animal Protection projects.

We’d like to offer a big thank you to everyone who has contributed over the years. And to those of you who will continue to do so. Alex matches your donations dollar for dollar.

Your change helps exquisite guys like this fellow live a happier life.

Pooch Parlour Dog Grooming and Doggy Daycare combined

Many regulars to Fox Valley Animal Hospital have already discovered the joy of our wonderful dog grooming salon in the Pooch Parlour. They are also taking advantage of the fun, exercise and companionship that can be found in our Doggy Daycare.

But did you know you could combine the two with their check-up under a full service?

We invite you to try our full service package. Your dog can drop in for their annual check-up with the vet clinic before heading for pampering and grooming at the Pooch Parlour. After seeing the vet, having a trim and looking their best, it’s time to play in the Doggy Daycare.

This service is not only designed to keep your dog entertained and to cross all your pet parent chores off at once, it also helps create an even more positive association with the vet clinic in general.

Places are strictly limited and bookings must be made in advance. Please also note to ensure the health of your dog and the health of other pet’s in the vet clinic; this service only applies to regular checkups and maintenance appointments. It excludes dogs suffering from illness, disease and injury.  This is not to be used with any other Fox Valley vets promotions.
